Privacy Policy
Effective: 24 September 2026
The short version
Squid Path has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your progress stays on your phone. Purchases go through Apple or Google, and we never see your payment details. We only receive information if you choose to send us feedback or email us.
This policy explains how the Squid Path mobile game for iPhone and Android (the "app") and the website squidpath.com (the "site") handle your information. Squid Path is made and published by Roger That LLC, which is responsible for your information. "We", "us" and "our" mean Roger That LLC. If you have questions, email support@squidpath.com. You can open this policy at any time from SETTINGS → PRIVACY POLICY in the app.
1. Information stored only on your device
To remember your game, the app saves the following on your phone:
- which levels you've finished and your best results
- pitstop (checkpoint) positions
- the avatars, hats and trails you've unlocked and selected
- your settings, including your music sync adjustment
- simple counts, such as how many runs you've started
This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us or anyone else, and we can't see it. Deleting the app deletes it.
2. Purchases
The app offers optional in-app purchases. They are processed entirely by the Apple App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android. Apple or Google handles your payment details and your account. The app only receives a confirmation of what you own, so it can unlock it and restore it with RESTORE PURCHASES. We never receive your name, email address or payment card details. Apple's and Google's privacy policies cover your purchase records.
3. Feedback you choose to send
The SEND FEEDBACK button in the app's settings opens a Google Form in your web browser. The app fills in one box with technical details that help us find and fix problems:
- app version, phone model and operating system version
- screen size, graphics chip and memory size
- your selected avatar and trail, your music sync setting and the last level you played
- how many runs you've started and how many times you've fallen
You can read, change or delete that box before you submit, and nothing is sent unless you press submit. The form does not ask for your name, email address or any account. Anything you type is sent along with it, so please leave out personal details you'd rather keep private. Google hosts the form on our behalf.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to reply to you.
We use feedback and emails only to support you and improve the game. This information is not linked to your identity in the app, and it is never used for advertising or tracking.
4. Game engine
Squid Path is built with the Unity game engine. We have switched off Unity's optional engine diagnostics, analytics and crash reporting, so the app doesn't send usage or crash data to Unity or to us.
5. No tracking and no advertising
- The app shows no ads and contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and we do not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, Advertising ID on Android).
- The app does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files.
- We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
6. Who else is involved
We rely on these companies to run the game and site. Each handles information under its own privacy policy:
- Apple: App Store distribution and in-app purchases on iPhone (Apple Privacy Policy)
- Google: Google Play distribution and purchases on Android, the feedback form (Google Forms) and the site's font (Google Fonts) (Google Privacy Policy)
- Namecheap: hosting for this website and our email (Namecheap Privacy Policy)
7. How long we keep information
We keep feedback and support emails only as long as we need them to answer you and improve the game, and never longer than two years. Information stored on your device stays there until you delete the app. We don't hold copies of it.
8. Your choices and rights
- Delete your game data: delete the app, or clear its storage in your phone's settings.
- Delete feedback or emails you sent us: email support@squidpath.com. It helps to tell us roughly when you sent it and what it said, because feedback isn't tied to a name.
- Access or correct your information: email us and we'll tell you what we hold, if anything.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA (California) give you these and other rights. We honour them for everyone, and we'll answer within 30 days. We don't need to create an account or collect anything extra to do so.
9. Children
Squid Path is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no accounts, chat, ads or way for players to contact each other, and it collects nothing unless a player chooses to send feedback. If we learn that a child has sent us personal information through feedback or email, we'll delete it. If you're a parent or guardian and believe this has happened, email support@squidpath.com.
10. This website
squidpath.com uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. Your browser downloads the Montserrat font from Google Fonts, which means it contacts Google's servers. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
11. International users
The services listed above may process information in the United States and other countries. Each of them protects it under its own policy and applicable law.
12. Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles information changes, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top before the change takes effect. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app's update notes.
